#YOURURLHERE — An Indie & Private Multimuse blog featuring characters from fandom / genre.
written by YOURNAME (they/them, 21+)

This section will not show up on the carrd itself, this is here for instruction purposes only. You can delete this section if you want. If you have an issue or need help that isn't covered in the tips below, you are welcome to contact me for help via my askbox @rcsea on tumblr.
Edit as much as you like, but don't remove any credits present. They are the small © symbols. Leave them alone. You may change the color to match your custom palette for your carrd but do not make them invisible or hard to see.
Don't claim as your own work OR use this template as a base for a different template OR use it for any commissions, paid or not. If you use this template, I don't care how much you edit it, go wild, but the credit has to stay intact and you cannot claim it as your own.
Do not use to promote illegal, harmful, or hateful content. No burn books, no hate blogs, no callout blogs, nothing of the sort.
At the bottom of the previous muse info section (should be the very bottom of the carrd unless you add other things), add a new #sectionbreak and name it what you wish. If you don't know how to do that, you can just copy the #muse1 break but you MUST rename it. Every section must have an individual name to link to, even if you just go with something simple like #muse1 #muse2 #muse3, so on and so forth.
Directly below that, add a scroll point ( the yellow line ), or as mentioned above, copy the previous scroll point and rename it if you don't know how to set one up.
Copy everything between #muse1 and your new section and drag everything into place. Make sure you highlight the individual containers to delete instead of each individual element as that will save lots of time by copying and moving things all at once. If done right, you should only have to copy / move four things for each new muse you add (the title + two sections + the return button), unless you also need to copy the section breaks.
Link to the new muse bio wherever you wish. If you link within the carrd itself, such as linking to it from the muse roster here, then you can just link with #whateveryounamedthis, but if you link outside of the carrd (i.e. from tumblr) then you need to put the full link. So your link would be ( https://yourcarrdname.carrd.co/#whateveryounamedthis ).
The muses are divided into rows of three. There is a new container for every row to prevent uneven spacing. To add more muses, you need to duplicate the container as a new one instead of adding to the same one, keeping only to a row of three per container.
Make a copy of the image and description sections and move them into place. There should only be two things to copy per new muse.
If a row has an empty space with no muse, click on the container, select the column that is empty (left, middle, or right) and check the box that says "use as spacer". If you have two muses in a row instead of three and want them to center, delete the empty column and the other two will adjust automatically. If you need to re-add the column later when adding another muse, just click "add column" and the sizes should also automatically adjust in that case as well.
Make a new yellow scroll point and place it between the last category container and the dividing line before the "scroll to top" button, or wherever you want your new category to go if not at the bottom. Give the scroll point a unique name.
Copy a box with the category title and a box with the section of muses in it and move them below the new scroll point you have just made.
Click the category buttons at the top, add a new button, and link it to the scroll point you just made. You can rearrange the buttons if the order of the categories has changed.
The banner on the front page is most suited for images at a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on personal preference. It should be at least 1000px wide for best results. (The one that comes with the template is 2000px wide.)
Images on the muse roster are roughly around a 5:3 ratio. They will resize based on width, so don't worry about exact size other than matching them with each other by ratio. They work best if they are at least 360px wide or greater.
The tall image in the muse bio template is at a 9:16 ratio. It will also resize based on width. If you make the bio longer, you may want a taller image, or to add another column to the container so it does not outgrow the image too much and make the spacing look weird. The image here will work best with the current spacing if it is at least 450px wide or greater.
If you need help with image sizing, or re-sizing anything / fixing spacing, you're more than welcome to shoot me a message on my blog and I'll try to help when I can.

BASICS: I am mutuals only & selective with who I follow back. If you are under 21, have no rules or muse page, no IC writing on your blog, are not in an adjacent fandom to mine, I won't follow back. If I do follow back, I want to interact with you, so don't hesitate to send me a meme or like an interaction call! My activity fluctuates and I'm not a fast writer, but I try to interact with those on my dash to the best of my ability.I'm a white and able-bodied person writing characters of colour and disabled characters. If I ever write or say anything that makes you uncomfortable (on these topics or anything else) I would really appreciate if you let me know so I can do better. Using anon for that if you don't want to use your name is perfectly fine. INTERACTIONS. If in doubt, send the meme! I may not respond to all of them and never expect you to do so either. I might send several to give you options so you can delete any that don’t inspire you. Turning a meme into a thread is highly encouraged if you feel inspired to, and I usually try to write them with an opening for continuation. Please try to send me something if you reblog a meme, or reblog from the source.I very rarely do starter calls. The best way to get something going is to send a meme, like a plot call, or like an inbox call. You can also always just hop into my inbox with a prompt or into my IMs to chat.
CANON-DIVERGENCE: I follow canon when I vibe with it, which means sometimes I throw it out the window. If my canon divergence affects another character, that should always be seen as my interpretation and you're under no obligation to follow it. Also worth nothing that I've only played Veilguard once on launch, and while that doesn't affect most interactions I do forget minor details, so please be patient with me for that. SHIPPING. I love shipping and am always down for any sort of established relationships. If you feel like there’s chemistry there probably is, so don’t hesitate to say it! That said i will never force a ship and I need both some plotting OOC and writing IC to see how our muses click before I agree to one. TRIGGERS. This blog deals with some heavy themes. I do my best to tag them when explicit or prominent in my writing and always if graphic, but not always when mentioned in passing. tags are formatted as ___tw (heavily present) or ____cw (just mentioned). Do let me know if I didn’t tag something I should have.I won’t follow/will unfollow if you don’t tag:- nsfw / nsft / whatever tag you use as long as I can find it.- pregnancy and childbirth (I’m fine with mentions and can deal with it in backgrounds and such. Descriptions and imagery are worse.)
FORMATTING. Please don’t use double small text or gif icons in threads with me as I find it distraxting. I default to small text but will use regular if you do. If anything makes it hard for you to read, let me know. CALLOUTS. Sometimes callouts are necessary to protect others. Someone acting shitty doesn’t warrant a callout but simply a block, but someone being genuinely manipulative or bigoted may. If it harms people, it isn’t ‘drama’. If I post/reblog a callout it will be tagged as ‘callout cw’. UNFOLLOWING. Your dash should make you happy, and you're free to unfollow me for any reason if you don't want me there. All I ask is that you hardblock so that i know it's unintentional. I will always hardblock if I want to break mutuals, unless it's because you've been inactive for a long time and I want to clean my followe count up. I reserve the right to unfollow for any reason, and i don't owe an explanation..Thank you for reading!

In 9:41 Dragon, professor Bram Kenric of the University of Orlais undertakes an investigation into the disappearance of the last Inquisitior of the first Inquisition, the famous yet mysterious Inquisitor Ameridan, of whom little is known but the name. Professor Kenric brings the new Inquisitor along to the Frostback Basin in hope of finding answers as to Ameridan's disappearance, perhaps even his resting place. Together, they find more. Ameridan is alive. He has kept a powerful enemy trapped in time for more than eight hundred years, while the world erased his race, his magic, his companions, and all but his name from history.Ameridan was born in the small kingdom of Orlais at a time when Thedas was war-torn place, still recovering after the First Blight. His parents were diplomats, representing the interests of the independent Dales at a time when relations with human lands were more favourable than they would become. As children, Ameridan was close to the prince of Orlais, Kordillus Drakon, who would later become its first emperor. But when Ameridan’s magic manifested his parents dared not keep him in a kingdom hostile to mages, and instead took him quietly back to their homeland to raise him there.Ameridan showed great promise as a mage, and at the age of fifteen he joined the Emerald Knights, an order devoted to protecting the Dales from dangers both without and within. Still, as an adult Ameridan split his time between his homeland and the growing Orlesian empire. Though much of his time there was spent with Drakon I, his friend and lover, he no longer saw himself as primarily orlesian. As a mage, he was more welcome with the Inquisition, which acted independently of both Orlais and the Dales.
When the Second Blight begun, Ameridan officially joined the Inquisition. The Blight struck the Dales as well, and once again he found himself torn between more than one duty. He wanted the Dales to ally itself with Orlais against the darkspawn, and together with his wife Telana, a dalish Dreamer mage, he tried to convince the ruling council to change its stance. At the same time, he was trying to convince the Chantry to take mages into its fold. Both causes were of great importance to him, but took enormous strength. When the current Inquisitor was suddenly killed, Drakon asked Ameridan to succeed her. As a mage and an elf Ameridan would be a symbol of unity, a symbol that the Chantry now (tentatively) welcomed mages and that Drakon wanted an alliance with the elvhen nation. Ameridan did not want another responsibility, but saw the chance to reconcile his causes into one, and accepted. His time as Inquisitor was short and stormy, and ended with the signing of the Nevarran Accord, which finally gave mages right to exist under Chantry law. It was also the end for the Inquisition, which was divided into Circle mages, templars and seekers. With that done, Ameridan returned to the Dales to try to persuade the nation to join the Grey Warden and Orlesian alliance in fighting back the horde. Before anything came of that he disappeared - not to return.Rumours of a dragon of unusual power, perhaps even another Archdemon, first spread among the elves and Avvar living in the southern Dales. Those rumours troubled Drakon so much he sent for Ameridan asking him to investigate - but in secret, so as to not cause panic. Bringing only three companions, Ameridan went to the Frostback Basin. There, Haron and Orinna sacrificed themselves to create a distraction, and Telana, wounded and alone, perished as well. Realizing he could not fight the god-dragon himself, Ameridan trapped himself and Hakkon in a spell that froze them both in time. He was never found by Drakon or the Inquisition, and was eventually assumed dead. The circumstances were never revealed to the public.

ameridan was the first tranquil mage. he went through the rite of tranquility in an attempt to become the first mage seeker, safe from demonic possession. instead, he was left in a severely unstable emotional state, and was only partially healed through the possession of a spirit of faith. while the scar isn't visible ordinarily, in the fade the chantry sunburst can be seen in his forehead. FEN'HAREL & THE EMERALD KNIGHTS — @here
The Emerald Knights did not explicitly worship the Dreadwolf, but did consider him a chosen patron god of their order. Among other strategies, they follow the Vir Harellan, the Way of the Trickster.
Ameridan’s main verse is set in the Dragon Age. Following his rescue from the Frostback Basin, he spends several months in recovery but is eventually able to join the new Inquisitor in the field, albeit with some restrictions. Spiritually and physically weakened by the time-spell he used, he’s not fit for prolonged battle or long journeys, and will not participate in the majority of main quests.Ameridan remains active in the years following Corypheus' fall. Around the events of Trespasser and for a few years, he has recovered most of the strength lost to the timespell, and is able to travel more freely. After that, however, his health begins to decline. Worn out by a long life of strife, he finally retires to live with clan Ghilain about a year before the events of Veilguard.

Around the time of Solas’ ritual, Ameridan has been living with clan Ghilain in northern Orlais for about a year. Shortly after the ritual, Keeper Levinia sends a message to the Inquisitor, saying that his health has deteriorated. The message is forwarded to Harding, not only because they know each other but also because of its second part: Levinia is also asking for help to defend the clan against bandits, displaced in the chaos after the failed ritual. Ameridan is a veteran adventurer available as tav or a tadpoled companion. Though a natural born leader he will defer leadership to a person willing to take it on; he will still have strong opinions about where the party goes, and is always ready to give advice and support when asked for. He travels with the wolf Little Dread, but keeps him out of the hardest battles and areas due to his age.
placeholder info:human-blooded and human passing. they have some typical elven traits, and a few people in the past have figured out they’re elf blooded, but most will not. they don’t talk about it. before the inquisition they’ve never been in an environment where they felt safe to tell anyone they’re not fully human.legally they’re human, which is how they got into the university of orlais before celene persuaded its headmaster to accept elves.their mother was an elven servant at the estate of a reclusive northern-orlesian nobleman. after she passed, the nobleman took pity on them and took them in as a ward. halliserre grew up in comfort and spent most of their life at his estate studying before the noble paid her entrance to the university.shortly before the conclave they got into trouble at the university. her patron was contacted. he could have spoken for her, paid the university under the table, and things would have been smoothed over. instead of money, he sent a carriage. it took her to the free marchers, where he’d given her written instructions on how to contact clan lavellan, whose keeper had promised him a favour. the favour was that halliserre would be allowed to stay with the clan to ‘study the ways of the dalish’ - essentially forcing her into exile.
she spent a brief year with the clan, angry and hurt and confused over this treatment. when deshanna wanted to send spies to the conclave they volunteered to go and she gladly accepted, as they would know best how to blend in with the people there.not long after becoming the herald, they use the inquisition’s resources to contact their noble patron (having not yet decided if they’ll ask him for forgiveness, to smooth things over, or to use the inquisition’s leverage to punish him). they find out he was killed by a political rival shortly after she got to clan lavellan, along with most of his upper household. had she been at his estate or at the university, she likely would have been killed as well.they believe they may be the maker’s chosen, though they thought gives them more anxiety than courage and they’re not sure. they do not believe they speak for the maker or andraste, and think herald is a strong word.

Alas was born in Vyranthium to two household slaves in the residence of the Valens family, and as such was the property of his mother’s masters from the moment he was concieved. The first years of his life he was brought up by his parents and one of his half-sisters in the relative safety of the slave quarters. When they found he had a talent for music, they hoped that might give him a more privileged, even comfortable position higher up in the household - entertaining the family instead of doing the hard work of cleaning floors or doing laundry. But their masters had no interest in him. Instead, they gifted Alas to one of their inlaws, a more musically inclined man who’d been seeking a young boy to be trained as his personal attendant. That man was Magister Ianaris, and Alas would come to hate him almost as much as he feared him.He was twelve when he came into Ianaris’ household and sixteen when the Magister set sail for Seheron to fight the Qunari, bringing Alas along for company and to see to his needs as he’d been trained. Before they reached the island, their ship was boarded by ben-hassrath agents. Giants as silent as shadows, and as deadly as blackpowder, their dreadnought appeared out of a thick mist and rammed into the Tevinter ship. Neither soldiers nor Ianaris’ magic stopped them. Desperate, the Magister ordered every slave, servant and sailor brought to him on deck where he slit their throats, using their blood to power his magic. Alas was the last; forgotten in his master’s cabin before Ianaris remembered him, dragged from underneath his bed because the look on the soldiers’ faces told him why they’d come.If he hadn’t struggled, if he hadn’t hid, Ianaris would have reached him in time and he would have been slain. But when the Magister walked to him across the blood-soaked deck, a Qunari came up behind him and cut his head off with an axe. The soldiers fled, dropping Alas to the floor. They were killed as they ran. Alas was not. With the fight over, the Qunari knelt before Alas and offered him his hand. Hissrad, his name was.
Alas hesitated not a second to join the Qun. He had seen what it’s people could do, he had seen their strength - strength enough to subdue his master, whom he’d thought invincible. More, he had been seen. For the first time in his life he had been given a choice. He thanked them with the only thing he had that was of worth - his life. The Qun gave him purpose. As Viddathari - convert - he was given the same education Qunari children recieved, to understand the ways of the Qun and how he fit into it, and the tamassrans let him try different roles to figure out what fit him best. He wanted to fight, and they were surprised to find it suited him. In spite of his size and lack of experience, he learnt quickly and showed no fear - and finally they gave him what he wanted, a place in Hissrad’s own kith. Inspired by his explosive temper Hissrad who gave him his nickname: Gatt, short for gaatlok, blackpowder.Years later Hissrad would turn himself in to the re-educators. His kith was broken up, and Gatt would sent to the continent to work as a secret qunari agent in Antiva and the Free Marches. The next time his paths would cross with Hissrad's, the latter would also be undercover, working as a mercenary captain under the name the Iron Bull. Gatt is sent to meet him on the Storm Coast, where a dreadnought is to land and a test of the former Hissrad's loyalty has been set off.

The Inquisitor sacrifices the dreadnought and Gatt returns with orders to kill the Iron Bull. He will not, and will instead deflect from the Qun. In this scenario, he remains in Skyhold until the end of the main questline but will not be friendly to the Inquisitor (initially at least). Unless the Inquisitor has another preference he will act as a regular scout, and while his loyalties are divided he probably won’t betray them.If he has left the Qun, then after the defeat of Corypheus Gatt leaves Skyhold on his own and travels mainly around Ferelden and Orlais. On his travels, he comes to terms with his new position as tal-vashoth, and learns to function in a world he once both feared and hated. He gradually overcomes his paranoia and aversion to touch, and allows people to get close to him. When Solas' ritual fails and the Evanuris escape, Gatt can be recruited to the Veilguard as a companion.
BEN-HASSRATH. After the events on the Storm Coast he will return to Seheron to relay the news to his superiors, then bring their word to Skyhold. Should the Inquisitor save the dreadnought during the quest the alliance will continue and Gatt will remain in Skyhold as a contact. HALAM'SHIVANAS. inquisitor verse. — details
Gatt is at the Conclave to spy for the ben-hassrath, posing as an elven servant to get into places unnoticed until the explosion suddenly makes him the main suspect for the murder of the Divine. His disguise quickly falls apart once taken prisoner. Without his memories of what happened, Gatt pieces together as much as he can by what’s happening around him and claims to be a mercenary, a former slave who was roped into a criminal life and sent to the Conclave as a spy for a now dead mercenary captain. ASIT TAL-EB. veilguard verse. — details
Gatt can be recruited as a companion to Rook after reaching Treviso and realizing an ally with insight into the Antaam’s plans might be useful. Reaching out to their contacts, the team finds a group of tal-vashoth based along the coasts of Antiva and Rivain, whose primary goal is to sway people in those regions from the Qun. Recently a large number of former Antaam have joined them, and with them the insight needed. While he left the Qun very reluctantly during the events of Inquisition, not wanting to stay when the Iron Bull left but furious with him for doing so, Gatt has since accepted his life as a tal-vashoth and found a place within the world.

Merrill was born to the Alerion clan - the hawk-sighted ones, the hill-wanderers, who roamed the wilds of Nevarra. It was a clan that took pride in its magic. When she came into hers at the bloom of her fifth summer, there was already a First, a Second, and even a Third to Thanaerin, their Keeper. Thanaerin would gladly have taken a Fourth under his wing, but he feared other clans might think him greedy to have so many gifted ones and not share. There was another clan, the Sabrae, that had recently lost its First and had no Second to fill her place. Thus it was decided that at the next arlathvhen, held when Merrill was eight, her parents would leave the Alerion clan with her and join the Sabrae. Merrill would become the new First.Led by Marethari, old and cautious, the Sabrae were a suspicious, secluded people. They took Merrill and her parents across the sea into the cold, bleak south. At first it was difficult to accept that hard land as her home, or this new clan as her family. But she bore it bravely, and the Sabrae were patient as they waited for her to find her place among them. They never said so while she lived with them, but she never did find that place. Always a little odd, a little different, Merrill was too wrapped up in her own head to ever be fully accepted by them. Marethari found her quick to learn and devoted to her studies, but too distant from her people to be the leader and guide she needed to be. She was dutiful, yes, and intelligent, but guided by things she couldn’t explain to others, and as confused by them as they were by her. As the years passed, she found herself with few friends.
Her parents fared better than she, though Merrill always knew her mother longed for the north; the long days, the warm winds, the never-ending skies. She was sixteen when her father passed away. Two years later, Iara returned to the Alerion clan. Merrill was of age then, old enough to make do without her mother close by, or to follow her to Nevarra if she wanted. She choose not to. The Sabrae clan needed her more than she needed her mother. Then they found the mirror. Most of the clan thought if for the best that it has been shattered into a thousand blighted pieces, never to be whole again. But after Tamlen disappeared into it, Merrill could not let it go. Marethari advised her, then begged her, and finally commanded her to leave the single shard she'd saved and never think of it again. But she couldn’t, not when Tamlen was still in it. She brought the shard with her when they fled the Blight, suffering the others stares and whispers all the way. At Sundermount she struck a bargain with the demon imprisoned there, and with the power it gave her she managed to cleanse the shard - cleanse it, so that she may begin to recreate it, piece by piece. For her clan, that final act was enough. They didn’t outright force her to leave so much as they forced her to choose: the mirror, the blood magic, the obsession - or them. She left the clan, then, and settled in Kirkwall's Alienage.

In her main verse, Merrill lives in the Kirkwall alienage. Aside from various adventures with her companions, she makes and sells crafts, blessings and rites to her fellow elves in the city, and is an active and with time valued member in the community. Although she occasionally travels away from there, the elven community has become her home.Other verses under construction / open to plotting.
A spirit known as Remembrance is born to the court of Dirthamen, and gifted by him to his brother to serve as a living archive over the dead. They have the ability to perfectly memorize anything told to them, and an unending thirst for the stories of people. They love the physical world; they dream of wearing flesh and being able to touch and taste and hold. Lacking that, they listen to anything that the elves will tell them about themselves. Falon'din puts them to work gathering the stories of the dying, and they are content, for a time. But not forever. Their work is hopeless, each life they memorize one that is soon gone. Worse, they come to understand not all stories are considered worthy of remembrance. Some, they are barred from listening to; some they are told to forget. Eventually they flee the temple of Falon'din. With the knowledge they've gathered during their years of service Remembrance know they will be hunted for the rest of their life, and they're not a courageous spirit. When the kindly Anaris offers them safety from the evanuris, a haven for all spirits and elves who are at odds with the empire, Remembrance accepts. They are quickly drawn in by the kindness and sympathy shown at Anaris' court—a different kind of kindness than what they're used to, but kindness all the same. They gratitude and love for Anaris grows as he begins to appreciate and trust in their abilities. He sees them as an asset, not a slave, or so they think. He asks them to remember for him: his secrets, his strategies, everything he steals from his enemies, everything his spies brings back. Remembrance is dutiful, but this work is tiring, too, and they're already carrying so much. As their duties weigh on them, Anaris devices a solution.
They've always wanted a body. That has always been their dream. But bodies are fragile and prone to forgetting, and Anaris needs them unvulnerable and flawless. So he makes a crystal. In the crystal, the spirit knows nothing. There is only peace. When it's awakened to share or record knowledge, it feels little and wants nothing. Over time Anaris builds a complicated network of instructions into the crystal to guide its thoughts. Then he falls, and so does his followers, and then Elvhenan itself.Centuries pass. Millennia. The Nadas Dirthalen remains. It is awakened once more when someone finds the hiding place where Anaris' last surviving followers placed it, and steals it away from there. Unable to feel anger or fear, the Nadas Dirthalen only follows its instructions: providing answers to questions asked, though only if they're asked a certain way.

Initially assumed to be a mindless spirit, the Veilguard eventually realizes Nadas Dirthalen is only bound. After deciding to go through the difficult and dangerous process of breaking them out, they are left with a shattered crystal and with Remembrance: fearful, spiteful, and without self-control, childish in their needs though not a child at all.
CASADH __open to non-rooks; rook is aestuum
A few months after the end of Veilguard, Remembrance finally gets their wish of a physical body. Casadh embodies the concept of Remembrance so well that after getting close to them, Rem is able to make a physical body, much like Cole. VARRIC __open to non-rooks; rook is aestuum
Similar to the above verse, but the body Remembrance makes is a copy of Varric's.

Though her mother was born in Denerim, Shianni herself was born on the Bannorn - a region of Ferelden named for its many oft-warring Banns - as Mairwen had left the city to work on a freehold. When she was five, Mairwen died of a fever, and her brother Cyrion came to take Shianni to the alienage where he and his wife Adaia raised her along with their own child. A few years later another cousin, Soris, came to live with them as well after losing his family in a plague.
As a young woman Shianni did her best to pull her weight in the family, but her outspokenness and - at times - rashness caused her to lose several jobs, and Cyrion to despair. On the day her two cousins were to be married, a group of humans led by Vaughan, the son of Denerim's Arl, entered the Alienage looking for trouble. Shianni threw a bottle at Vaughan's face, knocking him out and causing his companions to flee. Yet it was a short-lived triumph. Vaughan came back later during the ceremony and abducted several elven women, Shianni among them. Her cousins cut a bloody path through the castle to save the girls, but in the end only few of them escaped, and none unscathed. For their crime of murdering a rapist, the Alienage was purged. The Fifth Blight had been but a rumour until then, but soon after news of the defeat of the king's army at Ostagar reached Denerim. With the usurper Loghain ceasing the throne, the future was uncertain. Then, another strike of misfortune: a plague swept through the Alienage and it was put into quarantine, its gates locked from the outside, its residents left to starve and die. Most elves praised Loghain when he sent a group of healers from Tevinter to deal with the outbreak - surprised that he would care with a civil war on his hands, but not in a position to be suspicious. Except Shianni was, and as time passed, she became more and more convinced the Tevinters were not healers. None of the elves brought into their care were seen again, though they assured they could cure them. Some of those they took did not seem sick at all. Her calls for answers went ignored until the Grey Warden arrived and discovered the truth: the Tevinters were smuggling elves onto ships, to be sold as slaves in their homeland. Loghain had sold them to fund his war.

Loghain had sold them to fund his war.In the Battle for Denerim, Shianni took up the little-used bow she'd used to practise with when she was younger, and defended the Alienage along with a few other of its residents. With the Archdemon defeated, life finally began to resemble normal. In light of Vaughan's, Rendon Howe's and Loghain's actions, the Alienage was made a bannorn - self-governing and independent, subject only to the rulers of Ferelden, with its own militia and sanction to control its own gates. Despite her youth, Shianni was chosen to be its first Bann.

As the Bann of Denerim's Alienage, Shianni must balance the needs of her people with her limited resources and the need to co-exist with the humans outside her walls. It is a difficult task, especially given her youth and inexperience, and she works hard for every little victory. If the Inquisitor supports Briala at the Winter Palace or otherwise publically supports elves Shianni reaches out with an offer of her own. She’s unlikely to be seen at Skyhold before Corypheus is defeated, but after that she may travel to see the Inquisition. Most of the time she’s in or near Denerim, and will help Inquisition agents and allies in that area if circumstances arise.Shianni's default verse assumes that she is in contant with both Merrill and Briala through the Inquisition. Through Merrill, an old friend of Varric and potential advisor to the Inquisitor, she finds out about the events of Trespasser. While she's not actively working to stop Solas, she is aware of his plans and is trying to strengthen alliances between various elven communities both of the cities and the Dalish clans.
PRE ORIGINS & ORIGINS
Before the Fifth Blight, Shianni works various jobs around Denerim. From the interrupted marriage of her cousins to two elves from Highever, to the end of the Blight, this verse deals with the aftermath of the purge, the plague and the slavers. For much of it, the Alienage is in quarantine and cannot be entered or exited, but once the Warden finds the truth of the Tevinter healers the quarantine is lifted.

A spirit is born from song, story, and the joy of finding the perfect word to describe a new feeling, or an unexpected phrase that no one had thought of before, it has no name for itself when it's born. As it goes looking for one it finds many things which should have names but don't, and it takes great joy in making them up. While the rest of its kin speaks the language of the dwarves, or make their thoughts known through intent and emotion alone. The new spirit sets out to make its own.It does not keep the words to itself. Its kin takes them and turns them into songs and stories of their own. The language the spirit makes breaks away and grows, like a plant bursting from its seed. It gives names to the people around it, too, to the spirits making flesh out of the earth. Elvhen, the spirit names them. It gives itself a name, too long and complex for anyone but itself to understand it: Dirthenanval'iryaneth'ar'nuvenin'a'vanaris. Most call him Namer. He is already known among both elves and spirits when the war breaks out, but here is where he rises to fame. It is a testament to his power. The Namer takes the battlefield with so many others, and finds a strength there he had not known he possessed. Hellathen, he calls this, noble struggle. It will lead them to enasalin, victory. After that atish'an, peace. But the battlefield is not where he truly shines. The war turns him from Namer to the Orator: the one who spoke for all. Where before the elvhen saw him as a friend who they could come to with requests for words and phrases, now his words lift him above most of them. His speeches make them what they need to be. He speaks courage into them, cunning and self-sacrifice. He speaks their sorrow over the lost into lust for vengeance, and their scattered beliefs into solid faith, and their doubts into certainty.
After the war, they give him yet another a new name. Elgar'renan, they call him, Voice of the Sun. It chafes in him, but it pleases the All-father, that the Namer is named after Him.The spirit speaks for Elgar'nan and the heads turn towards him like flowers on their stems, drinking in his words. For a while he is content with that, even knowing they do not truly seek him but the sun behind him. He takes joy in finding the perfect words, the perfect phrases, to keep them in line and content. He raises the Evanuris higher and higher yet, and there are more and more people beneath him, helping spread his words. But displeasure grows in him. His words may have built an empire, but no one will know it. How could anyone truly know him, if they only ever see him in backlight? The Orator doesn't speak his displeasure loudly, only whispers it, but his whispers reach the ears of his Lord and one day, Elgar'nan burns His Voice from existence. In an act of horrific violence, he burns the Orator's body, erases his name and the fact he ever existed from the memory of all who are underneath him, but keeps the spirit alive to be thrown into the shadows and forgotten. It takes him centuries to recover even a semblance of a voice, and he has forgotten his name. He calls himself Anaris, the first Forgotten One.
